On Saturday, February 17, 2024, at approximately 12:10 am, an alarming incident occurred at the Wythe Apartment Homes located in the 1800 block of Estrada Pkwy in Irving. Two unidentified men forcefully entered an apartment, where three individuals were present, including two white women aged 22 and 24, and a 21-year-old black male.
The intruders brandished a firearm, proceeding to assault and rob the occupants. The victims were robbed of $400 in cash before the perpetrators fled the scene. Responding to the distress call, four officers from the Irving Police Department arrived on-site.
Following an investigation, authorities identified 20-year-old Calvin Siguenza-Melendrez as a suspect. He was apprehended on February 27, 2024, at 3:11 pm and subsequently booked into the Irving Jail. Siguenza-Melendrez faces six counts of Aggravated Robbery, each classified as a first-degree felony.
On February 29th, he was transferred to the Dallas County Jail, where his bond was set at $600,000.
The second suspect involved in the robbery remains at large.
The investigation is ongoing.
