Irving Police Arrest Two Intoxicated Men After Foot Chase On Icy Streets

Alejandro Ramirez-Angulo and Juan Boscan-Cordero

IRVING, Texas - Irving Police officers arrested two men early Sunday morning after responding to a reported disturbance involving intoxicated individuals during frigid weather conditions.

According to police, officers were called late Sunday night after a report of two intoxicated males causing a disturbance. The caller described the individuals as young Hispanic males. Officers located the pair and attempted to stop them for investigation, but both fled on foot in separate directions.

Officers pursued the suspects, who were quickly apprehended due to icy conditions on the ground. The men were identified as 19-year-old Juan David Boscan-Cordero and 20-year-old Alejandro Jose Ramirez-Angulo.

Both men were taken into custody and booked into the Irving Jail at approximately 1:45 a.m. on January 26th. They were charged with Public Intoxication and Evading Arrest or Detention on Foot.

Police confirmed that both individuals are undocumented immigrants residing illegally in the United States. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials in the Dallas–Fort Worth area placed immigration holds on both men, and they are expected to be transferred to ICE custody for deportation.

Irving Police are also investigating how underage individuals were able to obtain alcoholic beverages from a local Irving business or store. The investigation into that matter remains ongoing.
