Two Injured by Shattered Glass After Shooting at Lewisville Popeyes, Suspects Flee

Officers with the Lewisville Police Department responded after reports that multiple shots were fired into a vehicle and that at least one person had been wounded. Investigators later clarified that while gunfire did occur, neither of the two adult victims was struck by a bullet.

Police said both victims suffered minor injuries consistent with shrapnel from shattered glass and were transported to local hospitals for treatment. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

The suspects involved fled the scene before officers arrived. Detectives say they are actively following up on leads and have strong information to continue the investigation. Authorities emphasized that the incident appears to be isolated and that there is no ongoing threat to the public.

According to a police update, one of the victims, an adult female, was struck with a round in the hip. The injury is not life threatening.
