A drug investigation by the Irving Police Department led to the arrest of a suspect in Dallas on Monday, February 10, 2025.
At approximately 5:56 p.m., the Irving Police Department Tactical Unit, along with officers from the Narcotics Section, executed a search and arrest warrant in the 4100 block of Easter Ave in the Cedar Crest area of Dallas. Authorities took 48-year-old Samuel David Whitaker into custody.
During the search, officers discovered evidence of Whitaker’s involvement in dealing Fentanyl, Methamphetamine, and other narcotics. Two stolen firearms were also recovered.
Whitaker was booked into the Irving Jail and charged with Manufacture/Delivery of Fentanyl, three counts of Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance PG1, Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance PG3/4, Possession of Marijuana, and three counts of Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance PG2.
