IRVING, Texas — Seven people have been arrested by the Irving Police Department in separate investigations involving allegations of child sexual assault, indecency with a child and other sexual offenses between September and October 2026.
The suspects range in age from 18 to 44. Several face second-degree felony charges, while others have been released on bond as their cases move through the criminal justice system.
Two of the defendants remained in the Dallas County Jail as of October 28, including one man who was indicted by a grand jury on two counts of sexual assault of a child.
Miguel Angel Gaytan-Diaz, 36
On Tuesday, October 27, Miguel Angel Gaytan-Diaz, 36, was booked into the Irving Jail at approximately 4:21 p.m.
Gaytan-Diaz faces charges of sexual assault and sexual assault of a child, both second-degree felonies. He was also charged with domestic violence causing injury.
Brandon Palomares, 40
Brandon Palomares, 40, was arrested October 13 and booked into the Irving Jail at approximately 1:22 p.m.
He was charged with indecency with a child by sexual contact, a second-degree felony under Texas law.
Palomares has since posted bond and been released from custody.
Angela Palacios, 18
Irving police arrested Angela Palacios, 18, on the morning of October 8.
Palacios was charged with sexual assault of a child. Her bond was set at $50,000.
She has since been released on bond, and her criminal case remains pending.
Robert Samuel Holgin, 37
Robert Samuel Holgin, 37, was booked into the Irving Jail on September 27.
Holgin faces charges of indecent exposure and indecency with a child by exposure.
According to case information, Holgin is accused of exposing his genitals and anus in a public location in Irving while a man and his child were present.
His bond was set at $16,500.
As of October 28, Holgin remained in custody at the Dallas County Jail. His case is pending a competency evaluation.
Clemmie Cannon III, 38
Clemmie Cannon III, 38, was arrested and booked into the Irving Jail on September 8.
He was charged with indecency with a child by sexual contact.
Ronak Patel, 44
Ronak Patel, 44, was booked into the Irving Jail on September 17.
Patel faces a charge of indecency with a child by sexual contact.
Edgar Joel Velasquez, 34
Edgar Joel Velasquez, 34, was arrested September 2 and booked into the Irving Jail.
He was charged with two counts of sexual assault of a child.
His bond was set at $250,000.
On October 19, a grand jury returned a true bill of indictment against Velasquez, allowing the criminal prosecution to proceed.
As of October 28, he remained in custody at the Dallas County Jail.
