Man Found Guilty of Robbery and Assault at Joshua Store, Sentenced to 40 Years

On Wednesday, March 20, 2024, a Johnson County jury delivered a guilty verdict for 39-year-old Joseph Dan Fuller of Cleburne for the robbery that took place at Brookshire’s in Joshua back in December 2022. Fuller faced an enhanced robbery charge due to assaulting a store employee, a first-degree felony. As a result, he was sentenced to 40 years in prison. The Joshua Police Department led the investigation into the case.

The robbery occurred on Sunday, December 18, 2022, at around 9:15 pm when Fuller entered Brookshire’s, attacked a teenage cashier, and stole cash from the register before fleeing the scene on foot. Fuller, who stands at 6'1" and weighs 330 lbs, physically assaulted by brutally beating the 16-year-old employee.

Joshua Police Officers reviewed store surveillance and put out an alert, asking for help locating the suspect.  On December 22, 2022, Officers apprehended Fuller thanks to information received from the public.
