On Thursday, March 7, 2024, a Johnson County jury found 41-year-old Genaro Lemus-Cortez guilty of aggravated sexual assault of a child and indecency with a child by sexual conduct. Lemus-Cortez was living in Round Rock, Texas, but the crimes were committed in Burleson.
After the conviction, Lemus-Cortez was sentenced to a total of 35 years in prison for both charges.
The Johnson County Sheriff's Office investigated the case and acknowledged the Johnson County District Attorney's Office for their works in the case.
