TEMPLE, TX – Temple Police are investigating an aggravated assault after gunfire was reported early Saturday morning, December 27, 2025.
At approximately 5:31 a.m., officers were dispatched to the intersection of S. 47th Street and W. Avenue Z following reports of a disturbance and multiple gunshots. Witnesses told dispatch that several individuals fled the scene in vehicles.
Officers canvassed the area and secured the scene, discovering multiple shell casings, a struck residence, and a damaged vehicle. One of the suspect vehicles was located nearby.
A single individual was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No other injuries have been reported.
