Irving Police arrested 35-year-old Louis McCoy after responding to a domestic violence call at The Landings at Northgate Apartments on the morning of October 25, 2025.
Around 9 a.m., officers arrived at the 3700 block of W. Northgate Drive and found a woman with visible injuries, including a swollen lip that was bleeding and swelling beneath her left eye. The victim told officers that a verbal argument with McCoy turned physical when he bit her lip and struck her.
McCoy admitted to biting the victim but denied hitting her. Investigators determined that the two have been in a relationship for approximately 13 years and share five children.
McCoy was arrested and charged with Domestic Violence Assault Causing Minor Injury and Domestic Violence Assault Bodily Injury with a Previous Conviction. Records show he was previously convicted of Family Violence Assault in Harris County in 2009 and served 45 days in jail.
The case remains under investigation.
