Irving's Sparks and Stripes is all set to celebrate Independence Day in grand style this year! The festivities will kick off with an exciting parade at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, July 4, in the Heritage District. But the excitement doesn't end there—make sure to swing by Levy Event Plaza from 6 p.m. onwards for a night filled with live music and a spectacular fireworks display.
Starting the day on a delightful note, there will be a Watermelon Reception and Live Music event from 10 to 11 a.m. in Heritage Park, located at 217 S. Main St. Attendees can enjoy refreshing slices of watermelon for free while being serenaded by a live performance from the talented Jade Flores Band.
As the sun sets, the July 4 evening activities will commence at Levy Event Plaza, situated at 501 E. Las Colinas Blvd. From 6 to 10 p.m., visitors are encouraged to bring their chairs and blankets and immerse themselves in the vibrant atmosphere. While coolers and alcohol are prohibited, there will be alcohol available for purchase on-site. It is advised to leave furry friends at home to prevent them from being frightened by the fireworks.
The evening promises an abundance of fun and music. Starting at 6 p.m., attendees can indulge in delicious food, drinks, and enjoy rides and a dedicated kid's area. At 6:30 p.m., the live music performances will begin on the Las Colinas Stage, setting the tone for an entertaining night. At 8 p.m., the talented band Downtown Fever will take the stage, captivating the audience with their energetic performance. Finally, at 9:15 p.m., the sky will come alive with a mesmerizing fireworks and drone show, illuminating the Irving skyline.
To ensure convenient access to the event, free parking and event shuttles will be available at Williams Square Plaza. The event shuttles will run from 5:45 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., making transportation hassle-free for attendees. Alternatively, there will be $10 parking options available at the Summit Parking Garage and the 600 Las Colinas Parking Garage.
