A collision between a school bus and a Maserati Ghibli occurred on April 12th, 2024, around 4:30 PM, on Farm to Market Road 55 near Avalon, Texas.
The Ellis County Co-Op school bus was traveling north when the Maserati, heading south, veered into its lane. The bus swerved to the right but was struck on the left side, causing it to roll onto its side and come to rest in a bar ditch.
The driver and passenger of the Maserati emerged unharmed, while a 15-year-old bus passenger sustained minor injuries and was taken to Midlothian Methodist Hospital by ambulance. The bus driver escaped injury.
Investigation into the crash is ongoing.
