Woman Killed, Several Injured in Fiery Three-Vehicle Crash on LBJ Freeway

DALLAS, Texas - A 31-year-old woman was killed and several others were injured in a three-vehicle crash on Interstate 635 in Dallas that ended with a vehicle engulfed in flames, according to police.

Dallas Police and Dallas Fire-Rescue responded at approximately 6:28 p.m. on May 30 to a major accident in the 11100 block of westbound LBJ Freeway near Plano Road.

Preliminary investigators determined the crash began when a sedan traveling westbound attempted to exit the freeway from the second lane from the left.

According to police, the sedan struck a concrete barrier and traffic attenuator before being hit by both a pickup truck and an 18-wheeler.

Following the collision, the sedan caught fire.

One passenger in the sedan was ejected from the vehicle and transported to a hospital in critical condition. The driver of the sedan was also taken to a hospital with critical injuries.

A second passenger in the sedan died at the scene.

The Dallas County Medical Examiner's Office identified the deceased passenger as 31-year-old Miracle Annett Lynch.

The driver and two passengers in the pickup truck were also transported to area hospitals for treatment. Authorities have not released information regarding the extent of their injuries.

Investigators continue to examine the circumstances that led to the crash.

The investigation remains ongoing.
