Mansfield Police Arrest Woman with Multiple Warrants, Drug Trafficking and Robbery Charges

Michelle Mortenson

MANSFIELD, Texas — A North Texas woman with a history of drug-related offenses and multiple outstanding warrants is in custody following her arrest by the Mansfield Police Department.

Michelle Celeste Mortenson, 27, of Wylie, was booked into the Tarrant County Jail in the early hours of May 9. She is currently facing new charges of aggravated robbery and manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance Penalty Group 1/1-b, involving methamphetamine and fentanyl.

Authorities said Mortenson was also wanted in multiple jurisdictions at the time of her arrest. She had an active Dallas County warrant for possession of a controlled substance (cocaine), as well as two Collin County warrants for manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance and tampering with physical evidence with intent to impair an investigation.

Investigators said the Collin County warrants are tied to a parole violation. Court records show Mortenson was first placed on deferred adjudication probation in October 2022 after a drug possession case. In April 2024, she was again found guilty in a separate drug trafficking case and placed on an additional two years of deferred adjudication probation. Officials said she later violated the terms of that probation, resulting in new warrants.

In Dallas County, Mortenson was convicted of drug possession in June 2022 following an arrest by Garland police and sentenced to two years of probation. Authorities said her probation was revoked in March 2025 after violations, and a warrant was issued for her arrest.

Officials said the combination of new felony charges and outstanding warrants led to her being taken into custody and booked without incident.

Mortenson remains in the Tarrant County Jail as the cases proceed across multiple counties.
