Suspect Arrested After Vehicle Pursuit and Foot Chase in White Settlement

WHITE SETTLEMENT, Texas — A suspect is in custody following a vehicle pursuit and foot chase Monday evening, according to the White Settlement Police Department.

Officers initially attempted a traffic stop around 7:37 p.m. on April 13, 2026, near Tumbleweed Trail and South Las Vegas Trail. Police said the driver fled the scene, prompting a multi-agency response.

Authorities later provided an update stating the traffic stop began in the 9200 block of Barbara Drive. The driver initially pulled over but fled as officers made contact, heading toward Westpoint Boulevard before turning eastbound.

As the suspect approached the intersection of Tumbleweed Trail and South Las Vegas Trail, he lost control of the vehicle, struck a curb, and drove into a field near the Westlake Gardens Apartment Complex.

The driver then fled on foot.

Officers quickly established a perimeter, and multiple agencies responded to assist, including the Fort Worth Police Department, Texas Department of Public Safety Highway Patrol, Westworth Village Police Department, and Lakeside Police Department. Fort Worth Police Air One also assisted from the air.

Police said the suspect, surrounded by law enforcement, surrendered in the field without incident and was taken into custody.

Investigators recovered illicit drugs during the arrest. The suspect has been charged with felony evading arrest and detention with a motor vehicle.

No injuries were reported.

The investigation remains ongoing.
