IRVING, Texas - A Carrollton man is facing multiple felony charges after allegedly threatening two women with a knife during a confrontation in an Irving hotel parking lot.
According to an arrest affidavit, the incident occurred on March 16, 2026, at the Arya Inn & Suites located at 3232 W. Irving Boulevard.
Crystal and her wife, Emerald Gonzales, went to the location to meet Crystal’s sister. Crystal had been communicating with her sister about leaving the suspect, identified as 40-year-old Carlos Isidro Orozco.
When they arrived, they found the sister sitting in a car with Orozco. Crystal exited her vehicle and approached the car to speak with her sister.
Orozco, who was in the driver’s seat, became angry and got out of the vehicle to confront her.
Emerald then exited her car. At that point, Orozco went to his trunk and retrieved a knife.
As Orozco moved toward Crystal with the knife, Emerald stepped in to stop him. She grabbed him in an attempt to prevent the assault. While holding the knife, Orozco pushed Emerald.
He then continued toward Crystal and pushed her as well, while Emerald continued trying to pull him away.
The incident was captured on a dash camera inside the victims’ vehicle.
Irving Police officers later took Orozco into custody. He was booked into the Irving Jail.
Orozco is charged with domestic violence aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and assault causing bodily injury. He was also found to have two outstanding warrants out of The Colony for traffic violations.
Records show Orozco has prior arrests. In November 2025, he was arrested by Carrollton Police for terroristic threat involving a family or household member and resisting arrest. After bonding out, he was arrested again days later for violating a bond or protective order. That case remains pending, with a court hearing scheduled for April 8, 2026, in Denton County.
