The City of Irving reminds residents that all garage, yard, rummage, and estate sales require a free permit, which can be applied for online at IrvingTX.gov/GarageSale.
Key rules:

Limit: Two sales per residential address per year, lasting up to three consecutive days.

Multifamily complexes: Two sales per year; management must apply.

No telephone poles, street signs, trees, or medians.

Right-of-way signs (between sidewalk and street) only Thursday 12:01 a.m. through Sunday 11:59 p.m.

Signs on private property may be placed Tuesday–Thursday.

All signs must be removed after the sale.

Cancellations: Submit online by 8 a.m. on the first day of the sale.
