Plane Crash in North Fort Worth Kills Two, Damages Multiple Trucks

FORT WORTH, TX – A Beechcraft King Air C90 plane crashed Sunday afternoon near the 12000 block of Saginaw Boulevard in far north Fort Worth, killing two people and causing a fire that damaged at least ten tractor trailers.

The Fort Worth Fire Department responded within five minutes of receiving multiple 911 calls. Crews reported heavy fire involving several trucks and confirmed the downed aircraft. Grass fires sparked by the blaze were contained, and the fire was brought under control within 35 minutes. Around 60 personnel, 10 fire trucks, 14 support vehicles, and 3 ambulances responded to the scene. Command was later transferred to Tarrant County Fire, as the crash occurred just outside Fort Worth city limits.

No injuries were reported on the ground. The victims were identified as Michael Daly, a software developer and pilot from Bartonville, TX, and his father, John Daly of Roanoke. Michael Daly was the pilot of the aircraft. Solutions Group Services, his employer, described him as a devoted husband and father of four and a visionary developer.

Other agencies responding to the incident included Tarrant County Fire Marshal's Office, Haslet Fire Rescue, City of Lake Worth Fire Department, Saginaw Texas Fire Department, Newark Volunteer Fire Department, Eagle Mountain Fire Department, City of Blue Mound Fire Department, Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office, FAA, and NTSB. The FAA and NTSB are investigating the cause of the crash.
