The City of Dallas Office of Emergency Management & Crisis Response is offering a free Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Basic Training course taught entirely in Spanish. This comprehensive training is designed to equip Spanish-speaking residents with the necessary skills and knowledge to confidently respond to emergencies and enhance community resilience.
The course aims to remove language barriers, ensuring that more Dallas residents are prepared to protect themselves, their families, and their neighborhoods during times of crisis. Participants in the CERT program will learn critical emergency response skills, including:
- Basic disaster preparedness
- First aid and fire safety
- Light search and rescue operations
- A hands-on disaster exercise on the final day
Upon successful completion of all sessions, participants will receive a certificate of completion. This training is ideal for individuals interested in improving their emergency preparedness, contributing to community safety, and participating in disaster response efforts.
