On Sunday, February 2, an armed man barricaded himself inside a residence in the 8000 block of Tinsley Lane in White Settlement, prompting a multi-agency response. The suspect was wanted on multiple felony and misdemeanor warrants related to family violence allegations.
At approximately 2:30 p.m., WEST COMM 911 received a call reporting the situation. Westworth Village Police Department, Tarrant County Sheriff's Office, and the Texas Parks & Wildlife Game Warden Law Enforcement Division joined Westover Hills Police Department (WSPD) in securing the area.
Negotiators engaged with the suspect, eventually leading to his peaceful surrender. Officers involved included Sgt. James Stewart, Corporal David Streif, Officer Chris Wiseman, Detective Geovanny Ramirez, Assistant Chief Roger Yount, and Chief Christopher Cook. Dispatcher Adrianne Stewart managed operations from the WEST COMM Dispatch Center, with Supervisor Brandi Vineyard assisting.
The suspect was taken into custody without incident and transported to jail.
