On Friday afternoon, January 31st, deputies with the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office attempted to serve a warrant at a home in the 5600 block of Twin Oaks Drive just before 2:00 PM.
During the execution of the warrant, a physical altercation ensued with a suspect, resulting in one of the deputies being cut. The suspect then stabbed the deputy, prompting deputies to return fire. The suspect was shot and pronounced dead at the scene.
The injured deputy was transported by ground ambulance to a Fort Worth hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. The incident remains under investigation.
