Dallas authorities are investigating a fatal accident involving a motorcycle that occurred Friday evening, December 20, 2024, at approximately 5:30 p.m., near Irving Boulevard and Wycliff Avenue in the Design District.
According to the preliminary investigation, a 30-year-old male motorcyclist, identified as Michael Vincent Frantom of Lewisville, was traveling southbound on Irving Boulevard when a 21-year-old driver made a left turn onto Sylvan Avenue, colliding with the motorcycle.
Dallas Fire-Rescue (DFR) responded to the scene and pronounced the motorcyclist deceased.
The driver, 21-year-old Jonathan Salazar-Garcia, was arrested and charged with Collision Involving Death. His bond was set at $25,000, but he is being held because of his illegal status in the country. The investigation remains ongoing.
