Preliminary investigations suggest that the semi-truck, traveling westbound on Highway 82, attempted a "U-turn" into the eastbound lanes, where it was struck by the SUV. The passenger in the SUV was airlifted to Medical City Denton in critical condition, while neither driver required medical assistance.
