Ely Reyes, who has served as Cedar Hill Police Chief since 2019, has been appointed as Public Safety Director. In his new role, Reyes will provide leadership and strategic oversight for police, fire, and emergency management operations. Under his leadership, the Cedar Hill Police Department has contributed to the city’s reputation as the safest in the Best Southwest region, with a focus on community engagement and partnership.
Stacey Graves has been appointed Development Services Director. She will oversee the city’s public works operations and capital improvement program while continuing her leadership of neighborhood services and code enforcement teams. Graves has been with the City of Cedar Hill for over 25 years, bringing extensive knowledge of the community and city organization to her new role.
City Manager Melissa Valadez-Cummings commended Reyes and Graves for their professionalism and dedication, noting, “Ely and Stacey have proven track records of professionalism and servant leadership in Cedar Hill. I look forward to the positive impact they will have on the community in these new roles.”
