Irving Police Arrest Suspect in Gunpoint Robbery of Two Women at Motel 6

On March 26, 2024, at around 10:25 pm, Irving Police Officers responded to a call at the Motel 6 on the 3900 block of W. Airport Fwy (SH-183) following reports of a robbery. Two black women, aged 21 and 34, informed officers that they were robbed at gunpoint.

Upon reaching the scene, officers encountered the victims who recounted that a black man approached them as they headed to their motel room. The man brandished a firearm and demanded their belongings. The victims surrendered their wallet and a satchel containing their identification, airpods, room key, cell phone, and debit and credit cards. The stolen items were estimated to be worth approximately $1,800.

Based on the victims' descriptions, Irving Police investigators identified the suspect as 48-year-old Kevin Clitus Wilson. Wilson was apprehended without further incident on March 31, five days after the incident, and was subsequently booked into the Irving Jail at 10:37 pm. He is facing two counts of Aggravated Robbery, with a bond set at $100,000.

On April 3rd, Wilson was transferred to the Dallas County Jail for further proceedings.
