City of Dallas Calls for Entries in Fifth-Year ART214 Exhibition Celebrating Local and Regional Visual Artists During Dallas Arts Month 2024

The City of Dallas Office of Arts and Culture (OAC) has announced the call for entries for the fifth-year ART214 juried exhibition, set to take place during Dallas Arts Month in 2024. This collaborative project aims to showcase the works of artists residing in Dallas and the broader North Texas region.

Visual artists from the Dallas-Fort Worth and Greater North Texas area are eligible and encouraged to submit their entries for consideration. The exhibition serves as a platform for fostering relationships with new artists, providing opportunities for first-time exhibitors at any of the four cultural centers in Dallas. Additionally, it offers artists who have previously showcased their work at one cultural center the chance to present at a different location.

ART214 not only enriches the local art scene but also allows Dallas residents to discover and appreciate the talents of both local and regional visual artists. With each partnering cultural center contributing its unique audiences, artists, communities, and history, the exhibition aims to create a diverse and inclusive showcase of artistic expression.

By aligning the exhibition dates with Dallas Arts Month, ART214 provides a special opportunity for the public to explore all participating cultural centers, including the Moody Performance Hall, during a time of city-wide arts celebration. This collaborative effort enhances the accessibility and visibility of the vibrant artistic community in the Dallas-Fort Worth and Greater North Texas region.

To Apply:

Art in all media created by artists who currently live in the DFW and Greater North Texas region will be reviewed. All the ART214 entries will be reviewed by a panel of five esteemed art professionals from the DFW area. The Jurors will select the artwork that will be featured in the five participating venues.
