On January 5, 2024, at approximately 7:30 p.m., the Weatherford Police Department responded to multiple calls reporting an accident on Interstate 20 at Main Street.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a tragic incident involving two vehicles. A 44-year-old white male from Parker County was found deceased at the scene, and 43-year-old Nicholas Kent was identified as the other individual involved.
According to the ongoing investigation, a collision occurred between the vehicles, one driven by Nicholas Kent and the other by the victim. Subsequently, an altercation unfolded, resulting in the victim being shot and pronounced dead on-site. Nicholas Kent was taken into custody and has been charged with murder.
