On December 31, 2023, at around 2:00 pm, Irving Police Officers responded to a robbery call at a Dollar General convenience store located at the 400 block of S. Nursery Rd. During the robbery, he assaulted an employee and forced him to the ground.
Following an investigation, the suspect was identified as 33-year-old Willie Jennings from Balch Springs.
Jennings has been arrested and charged with Robbery, a second-degree felony. His bond has been set at $10,000.
Notably, Jennings has a history of previous arrests related to aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, family violence, evading arrest detention, and parole violation. He was convicted on November 27, 2019 for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
UPDATE: ON September 27, 2024, Jennings plead guilty and was sentenced to 3 years of probation.
