Granbury Police Respond to Christmas Day Incidents: Arrests Made in Domestic Disturbance and Teen Assault Cases

On Christmas Day, December 25, 2023, Granbury Police Officers responded to two separate incidents, one involving a domestic disturbance and the other an out-of-control teen.

In the first incident, officers were dispatched to the 1900 block of Bentwater Parkway for a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, they encountered 41-year-old Robert Libhart, who exhibited aggressive behavior. In response, officers decided to arrest Libhart for unlawful restraint. During the arrest, Libhart resisted, but officers were able to subdue and restrain him with handcuffs. He was subsequently transported to the Hood County Jail and charged with unlawful restraint and resisting or interfering with police. His bond was set at $5,000.

In the second incident, officers were called to Nimmo Ct to address a disturbance involving an out-of-control teen. The 17-year-old, identified as Jonathan Ernest George Elliott, was arrested and charged with a misdemeanor Class A offense for assault causing bodily injury to a family member. His bond was set at $2,500.
