Waco Police Detectives are actively investigating a tragic incident that occurred in the 3300 Block of W. Lake Shore Dr. A fatal crash took place at approximately 12:26 p.m. on Thursday, December 21, 2023, involving three vehicles.
According to preliminary reports, a vehicle traveling eastbound on Lake Shore Dr. crossed into oncoming traffic, resulting in collisions with a second and third vehicle. Tragically, a 7-year-old occupant of the second vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. No other major injuries were reported.
The next of kin for the deceased child has been notified. As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
