On December 16th at 12:19 AM, Midlothian Police Officers responded to multiple 911 calls reporting "Shots Fired" in the Mockingbird Estates and the Park Place neighborhoods. Upon reaching the scene, officers discovered that the reported gunshots were, in fact, fireworks being set off in the area.
The fireworks resulted in a fire that caused damage to a residence in the 3000 Block of Blue Jay Way in Midlothian, TX. After arriving at the location, officers secured home security video footage revealing two individuals walking in the neighborhood just before the fireworks were discharged.
Following the incident, the same two suspects were captured on video fleeing the area. One of the suspects, described by a witness as a white or Hispanic male in his late teens, approximately 6’2, was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt. The suspects were last seen running towards the Park Place neighborhood.
