The annual Wreaths Across America event is set to take place virtually on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens located at 1413 E. Irving Blvd. The event, a collaborative effort between the Irving Fire and Police departments along with the Irving AMBUCS, aims to pay tribute to the memory of veterans by placing wreaths on their graves.
This year's National Wreaths Across America ceremony will be broadcasted online, allowing participants to join virtually at https://www.facebook.com/WreathsAcrossAmericaIrvingTexas. The ceremony will take place on December 16, 2023.
Volunteers will be on-site to place sponsored wreaths on veterans' graves from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm on the same day. As of now, the community has come together to sponsor 2,505 wreaths for the event.
