Early this morning, while on driving down Cates Street, a Bridgeport Police Officer spotted a vehicle that presented flames underneath the body.
The officer promptly signaled the driver to stop, who efficiently pulled over near the West Side grocery store at 204 E Cates St.
The driver safely exited the vehicle just before it became fully engulfed in flames. The Bridgeport Fire Department responded to the scene to extinguish the fire.
Fortunately, due to the quick actions of the Officer and the driver, no injuries were reported, and there was no damage to nearby structures.
