Woman Dead and Man in Critical Condition in Northeast Dallas Residence Fire

On Thursday, November 9th, at 7:08 p.m., Dallas Fire-Rescue units rushed to the 12200 block of Schroeder Road in Northeast Dallas following a 911 call reporting a structure fire at a one-story residence.

Upon arrival, firefighters encountered smoke billowing from the front windows of the home. A concerned neighbor, who had attempted to enter the house, informed first responders that occupants might still be inside. Firefighters deployed hand lines, entering the residence to conduct search and rescue operations while simultaneously suppressing the flames.

During their efforts, firefighters discovered the lifeless body of an adult female inside the home. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Simultaneously, an adult male was rescued from the house and transported to a local hospital, where medics initiated life-saving measures, including CPR. The current condition of the male remains unknown.

No other individuals were present in the house at the time of the incident, and there were no additional reported injuries. Firefighters efficiently located and extinguished a bedroom fire, officially declaring the fire under control at 7:37 p.m.

The cause of the fire is currently listed as undetermined, pending the Medical Examiner's final ruling on the cause of death for the female victim. Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
