On November 3, 2023, at approximately 11:24 pm, Irving Police made a routine traffic stop after a vehicle was observed driving erratically. The driver, identified as 39-year-old Abraham Castillo-Martinez, an Irving resident, was subsequently arrested and charged with DWI (Driving While Intoxicated), 3rd offense or more. His bond was set at $10,000.
In addition to the DWI charge, the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency, also known as INS, has requested an immigration hold on Castillo-Martinez. It was revealed that he had a previous arrest for DWI, for which he had received probation. Furthermore, he had a history of probation violations in Dallas and had previously been deported for being an illegal alien.
