On November 5, 2023, Irving Police Officers responded to a domestic violence situation. Upon arrival, officers encountered 23-year-old Edwin Oracio Figueroa-Torres, who had allegedly assaulted family members. Figueroa-Torres resisted arrest and assaulted one of the officers during the incident. He was subsequently arrested and booked into the Irving Jail at 3:18 am.
In a separate case, Irving Police arrested 24-year-old Ezequiel Herrera-Almaraz for aggravated assault and evading arrest. Additionally, Herrera-Almaraz had an open warrant from the Garland Police Department for possession of a controlled substance. He was taken into custody and booked into the Irving Jail at 7:02 am.
Both of these arrests underscore the challenging and dangerous nature of the work that Irving Police officers encounter in the line of duty.
