Applications Open for 2023 Holidays at Heritage Parade in Irving

Applications are now being accepted for the 2023 Holidays at Heritage Parade, a cherished annual event in Irving. Families, businesses, community organizations, and neighborhoods are invited to participate by entering a decorated vehicle, float, or walking group. Registration is free and can be conveniently completed online at IrvingEvents.org. The deadline for applications is November 26 at 5 p.m.

This year's parade, themed "Tales of the Holidays," provides a perfect opportunity to showcase the enchantment of the season. Participants are encouraged to adorn their entries with colorful decorations, play festive music, and don fun Christmas costumes or clothing. For safety reasons, the throwing of candy or objects from floats or cars is not permitted.

Please note that the parade route has been altered this year due to construction on Irving Boulevard, and the updated route will be available in mid-November.

The parade is scheduled to take place on Saturday, December 2, at 6 p.m. in Irving's Heritage District. Following the parade, attendees can enjoy a tree lighting ceremony and entertainment at Heritage Park. Admission to the event is free, and parking is available on-site. Food and beverage vendors will also be present for those looking to purchase refreshments.

Participants are required to attend a mandatory parade meeting on November 28 at 6 p.m. in the Irving City Hall Council Chambers, located at 825 W. Irving Blvd. This meeting will provide essential information for a successful parade experience.
