On Thursday, October 12, 2023 at approximately 6:22 am, Demarco Sanders was walking across the 5900 block of East Freeway eastbound when he was struck by a vehicle. Sanders had been hit by a vehicle and was lying in the inside eastbound lane, police said. Another vehicle hit the pedestrian and its driver stopped to call police.
Sanders was pronounced deceased at the scene.
There is currently no suspect vehicle or suspect information at this time.
