The Dallas Police Department responded to a shooting incident on October 5, 2023, at the 9700 block of Webb Chapel Road in Northwest Dallas. The victim, a man, was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment.
However, on October 8, 2023, authorities were informed by the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office that the man had succumbed to his injuries. The victim, who had been residing in a homeless encampment located behind businesses in the 9700 block of Webb Chapel, was confirmed deceased.
The Dallas Police Homicide Unit is conducting an ongoing investigation into the incident. In collaboration with the Medical Examiner’s Office, efforts are underway to identify the victim.
