On October 3, 2023, Irving Police conducted a routine traffic stop in the morning hours for speeding. The driver, identified as 26-year-old Christopher Ray Colon, was caught going 87 mph in a 60 mph speed limit zone.
Upon inspecting Colon's records, the officer discovered that he had 18 open warrants related to various traffic violations and failure to appear in court. These warrants were issued by the Mesquite Police Department and Seagoville Police Department.
Colon was taken into custody without any further incident and was subsequently booked into the Irving Jail at 9:36 am. Authorities did not report any complications during the arrest.
