At approximately 9:00 am on Friday morning, emergency responders from Denton Fire/EMS and Police rushed to the scene of a single vehicle crash along Interstate 35 near Milam Road.
According to the authorities, the vehicle veered off the roadway and collided with the center median, causing it to overturn. Paramedics promptly transported both occupants of the vehicle to nearby hospitals for urgent medical attention.
The 23-year-old driver, identified as a resident of Mesquite, succumbed to his injuries shortly after being admitted to a Denton hospital. The current condition of the other occupant remains unknown at this time.
In the wake of the incident, one southbound lane of Interstate 35 was closed for approximately four hours to facilitate the investigation conducted by Denton police.
