A two-vehicle collision occurred on Wednesday, September 27, around 12:32 PM, prompting responses from the Fort Worth Fire Department, MedStar EMS, and DPS Troopers. The incident unfolded on northbound Chisholm Trail Parkway near Sycamore School Road, resulting in the loss of a young woman's life.
According to authorities, a 32-year-old man from Cleburne, identified as Aaron Paul Roberts, was driving a pickup truck in the wrong direction, heading southbound in the northbound lanes of Chisholm Trail Parkway. His reckless maneuver led to a devastating collision with a passenger vehicle.
The driver of the passenger vehicle, 22-year-old Brianna Marie Lopez from Fort Worth, suffered fatal injuries in the crash and was pronounced deceased by paramedics at the scene.
DPS Troopers investigating the incident have stated that the pickup truck driver was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the collision. He sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the crash and was transported to a Fort Worth hospital for medical treatment. The authorities have charged him with Intoxication Manslaughter with a Vehicle.
