On September 27, 2023, at around 4:45 p.m., Dallas Police were called to the 3900 block of Gannon Lane in response to a shooting incident.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered 36-year-old Pierre Jernigan outside an apartment building of the Cadence Luxury Apartments, suffering from gunshot wounds. Jernigan succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The preliminary investigation into the shooting is currently underway, and authorities have not released further details. The case will be referred to a Grand Jury for further examination as the investigation continues.
