In a routine traffic stop that quickly escalated, Irving Police officers arrested a suspect on multiple felony charges.
During the stop, the suspect fled the scene on foot, leading officers on a brief foot chase. The pursuit ended with the successful apprehension of the suspect. Upon further investigation, officers discovered a substantial amount of illegal substances and firearms in the suspect's possession.
The suspect was found in possession of almost an ounce of Fentanyl, over 5 pounds of marijuana, and two firearms. One firearm was concealed in the suspect's waistband, while the other was located inside the vehicle.
The Irving Police Department has not released the identity of the suspect at this time.
