University of Dallas Music Faculty to Perform at Museum of Biblical Art

The Crowley Chamber Trio, a chamber music ensemble of University of Dallas faculty members, will perform at the Museum of Biblical Art on Sept. 25.

The event is the first Crowley Chamber Trio concert of the fall 2023 semester. Founded by longtime music instructor Marilyn Walker, the concert series displays the talent of members of the Department of Music twice a year.

The Museum of Biblical Art offers a fitting setting for the chamber style, an intimate form requiring clarity and expression of each instrument. The musicians, violinist Kristin Van Cleve, MM, cellist Marie-Thaïs Oliver, PhD, and pianist Andrey Ponochevny, MA, will play the following pieces:

Trio in A Minor for Piano, Violin and Violoncello, Op. 15, by Amy Marcy Beach

Trio in B-flat Major for Piano, Violin and Violoncello, Op. 99, by Franz Schubert

Admission is free. Cocktail or business attire is requested for this event. Seating is limited, so please RSVP.
