On Monday, August 28, 2023, an accident took place on eastbound Highway 183 near Hurstview Drive, resulting in the loss of a young life.
Hurst Police Officers, along with Hurst Fire/EMS, rushed to the scene after receiving reports of a single vehicle crash around 3:00 pm. The accident involved 19-year-old Audrey Marie Johnson of Euless.
Paramedics transported the driver, Ms Johnson, to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center-Grapevine in critical condition. Johnson was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
No one else was involved in the crash. The crash remains under investigation.
