Irving Police arrested a 55-year-old man, identified as Gregory Dale Nelson, on the afternoon of August 16, 2023. Nelson faces multiple charges, including possession of a controlled substance, unlawful carrying of a weapon, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to law enforcement officials, Nelson was taken into custody following a routine traffic stop in the Irving area. During the course of the stop, officers discovered evidence that led to the charges against him. He has been charged with "POSS CS PG 1/2-B >=4" (Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1/2-B), "UNL CARRYING WEAPON" (Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon), and "POSSESSION OF DRUG P" (Possession of Drug Paraphernalia).
