The Texas Department of Public Safety is currently investigating a fatal accident that occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning along Farm to Market Road 3136. The accident resulted in the deaths of two young men and left a third individual in critical condition.
According to a family friend, the three victims, all close friends who had grown up together, had been spending time together celebrating one of them moving out on his own. The trio left in a vehicle, and while traveling along FM 3136, the driver lost control near a curve, leading to a crash that ejected all three occupants from the vehicle.
Tragically, two of the occupants, a 22-year-old from Venus and a 21-year-old from Cleburne, were pronounced dead at the scene. The third occupant, whose condition remains critical, was airlifted to a Fort Worth hospital.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
