On December 31, 2022, at around 10:50 p.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call in the 7700 block of Claremont Drive near I30 in East Dallas.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers found a man and woman shot inside the home.
The victims were identified as Martha Sanchez-Lopez, 36, and Felipe Gonzalez-Espino, 27.
Investigators say that the couple had an argument at the home and during the fight, Gonzalez-Espino shot Sanchez-Lopez at close range. After killing Sanchez-Lopez, the shooter turned the gun on himself.
Both died at the scene.
