Tragedy struck this morning when a fatal motorcycle accident occurred on Highway 67 near Percifield Trail, just west of I35W. At approximately 9:45am, emergency responders from Alvarado Fire Department, American Medical Response (AMR), and the local Police Department rushed to the scene.
Upon arrival, responders found a pickup truck with significant front-end damage and a motorcyclist lying on the ground. Despite the immediate medical attention provided by paramedics, the motorcyclist, identified as 46-year-old Robert Jackson Loyd of Alvarado, was pronounced dead at the scene.
It is unknown if there were any additional injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
