Burleson, Texas - A domestic violence incident in Burleson turned deadly Thursday morning, October 29th, after a man forced his estranged wife into a vehicle and led officers on a lengthy pursuit that ended in both of their deaths. Burleson public safety officials said they received a call around 7:45 a.m. about an armed man near the 700 block of West Hidden Creek Parkway, where witnesses reported seeing him put a woman into a car against her will.
Authorities believe the two were estranged spouses. The driver sped off south on State Highway 174, also known as Wilshire Boulevard, ignoring officers' efforts to pull him over. Burleson police then pursued the vehicle as it continued toward Chisholm Trail Parkway, with the chase ultimately stopping near Bourland Field Airport in Cresson, well outside the city limits.
When officers reached the car, they discovered both occupants dead from gunshot wounds. Investigators say early evidence points to a murder-suicide, and they confirmed that no law enforcement officers fired their weapons during the incident.
The woman was identified as 34-year-old Bianca Elizabeth Ramirez and the suspect as 34-year-old Axel Ramirez. Sadley, they leave behind two daughters, aged 9 and 14.
Several outside agencies helped during the chase and ensuing investigation, including sheriff's offices from Johnson, Parker and Tarrant counties, the Texas Department of Public Safety, and the Fort Worth Police Department's Air 1 helicopter crew.
